Margaret & Bitsy Stories
A small town sisters mystery series
by Molly MacRae
"Lock all doors and windows anytime you see Bitsy coming"
are words Margaret Welsh lives by.
Margaret owns and runs Blue Plum Books, a bookstore which takes up most of the downstairs of her house.
Much as Margaret loves her sister, Bitsy’s inclination to butt in and either wrest control or wreak havoc keeps
Margaret contemplating rules for living, such as the one above.
Margaret and her sister, Bitsy, have bickered and bandied through seven short stories in Alfred Hitchcock
Mystery Magazine. After reading the Margaret and Bitsy stories in Hitchcock, New York Times best-selling
author Sharyn McCrumb said "readers would happily spend two hundred pages in their company."
Margaret and Bitsy live in Stonewall, a town, which if it existed, would lie just west of the Blue Ridge Mountains
in Upper East Tennessee.
